Dear all,

Trying to organize a liveaboard in Southern Egypt for eafrly 2014 (March) for a few friends and myself (all "competent" divers, over 100 dives, e.g. just did a week in Komodo).

1) How does one get to Marsa Alam by plane (to save time)? I see until now only Egyptair and Swiss. Any advice on what to take?

2) Which itinerary do you recommend: I did some day diving from Zabargad ten years ago and was hoping a liveaboard would be even better...? Brothers, Fury shoals ?

3) I hear the Zabargad hotel "resort" is under new management (it was pretty bad when I was there in 2005). Which dive outfit is operating there now?

4) Finally, which liveaboard option do you recommend: blue O2, emperor, or whatever else? We are not looking for hyper-luxury, but decent rooms and some space on board would be welcome (the Jaya in Komodo, run by Wicked Diving, was really too spartan for us...)?

Thanks for any assistance.

Best,

Rene

Condor and airberlin usually offer flights to SSH, HRG and RMF but they disabled bookings last week.

From France, I usually use chartered flights with Air masters.
It can then be fight par Egyptian companies (Air Cairo, ...) or European ones (Air austral,...).

You may have to wait until things settle down in Egypt before you see the airlines re-establishing service to the country and can figure out what airline will best meet your needs.
