Ok
I've just saved the $ to buy the UFL-2 I want to add to my olympus compact digital.
I'm trying to save money on the arm and tray as I already have the system from my old nikonos SB104. Question is how can I fit the two together. There is a bewildering array of arms, clips, adapters etc from various manufacturers on the net...but I can't quite find the right thing.
Can anyone point me at an adaptor that will fit an UFL-2 (which I think is a sea and sea mount) onto a nikonos arm....which is basically a bar.
Any ideas?
Thanks

Duct tape?
you are correct. The ufl-2 has a sea and sea ys style mount.
I do not think you will find a pre-manufactured adapter. Lots of them to go the other way and mount an old SB strobe to a new arm system.

My suggestion would be to toss your arm and buy a "more modern" used tray and arm. You may be able to find a used tray and arm for about the same price as a new adapter.

If you are the DIY type you could try to attach a ys style hot shoe adapter to the Nikon clamp. This may require a little McGyvering. Something like
Bigblue Sea & Sea Hot Shoe Light Adapter DA007 B&H Photo could be a starting point. You can check other manufacturers to see if one may be a better fit.

Thanks for the post. I fancy mcguivering one of those clamps. Crazy...but it might just work..
