How to attach Ikelite Case and Sl-960D strobe?

I saw another thread on this, but I don't understand what it says about the SAE 24-12. What is that?

I had an old case, Canon S-500 for 2 years. First dive with the Sl-960D, my case floods. So I bought an Olympus Stylus 760 with the Ikelite case and the w/a lens. But now the strobe doesn't fit. Anyone have any ideas?

I saw another thread saying to drill 2 holes into the Sl-960D hard plastic tray. Is that a good idea? And what size is the hole? Also, where do I get the screws that will fit through the tray into the Ikelite case? What size is that screw?
