I just got a camera (Sea&Sea MX-10 with strobe), and I'm wondering what is the best way to attach the camera to my BC. I was thinking about the Gadget Gear Coil Lanyard, but my friend thinks that there is a better way. Any suggestions???

I use a coiled lanyard too. It's the best I've found so far. When the clip is released the coil provides sufficient extention to move you camera the way you need to without getting in the way. If a situation arises where you suddenly need both hands, you can simple drop your camera (provided you are THAT close to the bottom!) and know that it's securely attached to you.

I have my camera (Reefmaster) clipped onto a D ring on my BC. I do not have the coil lanyard though. I just have a regular clip on, along with the "string" from the camera seems to give me plenty of length to work with.

I have the MX 10 with strobe also.. and I use the coiled lanyard leash. It works really well, and it keeps the camera nicely tucked into the corner of my elbow when I'm not using it.

If I need to exit onto a boat in rough conditions, or when using a scooter, I tuck the camera. still tethered by the lanyard, inside my bc or inside my neoprene jacket. It's a little bulky, but will keep it from being trashed against the boat if I am unable to hand it up in advance.
