Why?
This is my backplate, made of plastic, and very light. My 15-liters steel is already heavy enough, it does not need a metal back plate. And this plastic back plate has a nice handle, as you can see:

This is my backplate, made of plastic, and 5kg heavy because I filled it with shotgun pellets. My 15-liters steel is not heavy enough. And this plastic back plate also has a nice handle, as you can imagine
