I am interested in a Nekton Pilot Belize liveaboard and am wondering how much of an issue weather can be at this time of the year. A lot of land based diving such as Cozumel, for example, is frequently hit by a norte at this time of year and that tends to ground all dive ops. With a liveaboard where you are already out on the water is weather often a factor. I am not talking about a real bad storm, I am talking more about just bad weather that can put a halt to diving for 2-3 days at a time. Is this an issue with a liveaboard in the belize area in the Jan/Feb months

Thanks

I was on the Belize Aggressor June '05, and the water was like glass. I don't think anything in Belize [short of a hurricane] would keep you out of the water for more than 1/2 a day at most. Enjoy, it's beautiful there!

Dove Belize 2 years in a row with Nekton in March. Biggest weather related issue we experienced is/can be the wind. If the winds are high and in the wrong direction the boat captain sometimes has to modify the itinerary to position the boat where the water is a bit more calm.
