How many dive cylinders do you currently own ?

What is the advantage of owning that number of cylinders ?

Why do you chose not to own any dive cylinders ?

Feel free to make any comments about owning vs not owning dive cylinders.

If you had unlimited funds (but not necessarily unlimited space), what would be the ideal number of cylinders you like to own ? Why ?

Having 4 made sense as until we recently moved to the city, the shop was about 50 miles away. I could dive 3 weeks near home before needing refills. Then I'd take them in to the shop and dive some of the sites near there (which are better anyway).
This was important as well due to Canadian (auto) gas prices.

2-6cf ponies, a 27cf LP steel, a 30cf Al, and a 50cf LP steel.

27 & 30 for practice & checkout of new equipment or configuration. 50 for regular solo dives. No need to go long or deep around here. Cold water, shallow thermoclines, crap visibility, and nothing much to look at anyway. Mostly I clean the lake of crap that doesn't belong..

I rent Al 80's when I go with the NYSDA so I can match what the other guys have. Same for tropical trips.
