How long do analog scuba gauges last? I hear the gauges made of brass and glass last pretty much forever. What about the plastic gauges?

I see people selling analog gauges from the 1980s, for example oceanic gauges. Would they last that long? I can't tell if it's made of brass of plastic.

If you look after your kit and service them regularly, they will last decades.

A long time (if cared for properly).

Brass-and-glass ones are very robust, but so are the plastic gauges...as long as you leave them inside the plastic/rubber housings designed to keep them safe.
