Hi there.

At the beginning of the year no doubt you made promises and set (diving) goals for yourself.

Well, how are they progressing, are you realizing your potential or procrastinating?

I ask as mine are going better than expected. i initially intended to get more experience in diving cold water. experience I got and a whole lot more, the opportunities to do a shed load of experience gathering and training have seemed to present themselves on a daily basis.
Very fulfilling!

So..................

How you Doin'?

Great so far. So far I've....
Completed the Divemastrer class.
completed about 30 dives.

Bravo!!

Ive done rescue and two specialities, around 20 dives and am doing Advanced Nitrox and deco training as well as EFR instructor!

Congrats, Man! It's almost like I was there to see it! And I wasn't even the problem diver as threatened.

Goals: So far, so good. Dives are off to a good start and learning how to use my new camera. Expecting another good year.

Well, one of my goals was to get my Fundies tech pass, and I have.

I've completed a recreational Triox class, although it wasn't the one I was trying to finish at the end of 2007.

I've got 18 cave dives under my belt now.

So far, the year is going quite well!

2008 and im sick of quarries already.

Number of planned sea dives: 14
Number of sea dives cancelled due to weather: 14
Number of sea dives actually performed: 0

Every single ****ing weekend im in the quarry instead of the sea :(

Just had to cancel this weekends as well due to 80mph winds so add 2 more to that list.

Same here for the sea dives, 2 planned, 2 cancelled.
I take it youve been at the NDAC

With the occasional trip to Vobster to life the tedium but yes NDAC seems to be my new weekend home.

Not surprisingly, i'm there again Sunday with trainees.

Got students with 10-15 dives who still haven't been in the sea for the first year ever.

I might bump into you there then.

Definitely shy of my goals... I wasn't planning much during the "colder" season but getting sick during the first scheduled dive for Feb. didn't help.

My biggest objective for the year is to get to more warm water. :D
