How far is Trinity Wharf from Cairns Airport?

Arriving in Cairns at like 7am and I think we need to be at Trinity Wharf by 9am. How far away are they from each other?

when arriving, getting thru customs & immigration will be your biggest holdup and when we went thru a few years ago (arriving from Guam) it took about 45mins (cairns international isnt a big airport)

Haha thanks. For some reason I couldn't find the address so I was soooo confused. I found something and it said it was 17 minutes so it must be in the same general area.

No. Once you enter Australia and go through Customs + Immigration at Sydney (or whereever you are going first), if you then fly interstate you do not need to.

No matter what your less then 20 mins from Airport to the Wharf.
Are you arriving by plane then straight to a dive boat livaboard? If so they may pick you up otherwise head out the front to the taxi stand, wait and grab one into town. Shouldnt be more then $20 to the wharf. You cant walk it.
Sydney to Cairns no you dont have customs, just grab your bags and head outside to the taxi rank and be hit with humidity the moment you walk out the door.

as above, nope. i thought the domestic airport was bigger and nicer so just get your bags and head out the doors to a taxi

edit: hehehehehe the humidity!!!!! we were there in april and i thought cairns was more humid that guam

Having just returned from our dive holiday in Australia to the snow of the north I must say I am very envious. I am a new diver but after my time in Oz I feel much more comfortable in the water. Which liveaboard are you going on?? We were on the Taka - I posted on the thread "Spirit of Freedom or Taka" about our very positive experience. So enjoy and make sure you are wearing layers so you can be comfortable in the heat when you arrive in Cairns!

That's more than enough time to make it to Trinity Wharf from the airport. Should take about 15 - 20 minutes. If you are arriving on a weekend then a cab will cost slightly more then $20 as they have some sort of weekend surcharge. Enjoy your trip!
