No, I don't mean how you use scuba equipment.
How do you actually use your diving in daily life. For example, some see it purely as an escape vehicle, getting away from daily stresses. Of course, for others it's part of their livlihood such as instructors or LDS operators.

In my case, for example, I use scuba in teaching science concepts (I'm a professional educator) such as Boyles law, Archimedes principle, environmental science, biodiversity, etc.

So how do you use scuba?

It's an entertainment, part of my exercise regime (weight lifting), and a big part of my social life.

For me it's a very easy way to travel to another world, it takes relatively little time and money.

I also sometime dive for food.

I use it as a challenge and a way to relax.

When I dive, I try to run a line correctly, hold better trim, better bouyancy. I try to manage to frog kick myself backwards. I try to use less air. I try to blow the perfect air rings.

And I always spend a few minutes just wondering at the beauty of it all....I'll dump all the air out of my BC and just lie at the bottom of the spring, looking upa t the trees, and I wonder, and wonder and wonder.....in wonder. It's a beautiful place.....

Instructing and entertainment. Also a very spiritual realm for me...

Social activity and hobby.
I pay money to go diving. Although for 6 months of year i can get paid just enough money to break even teaching it 7 days a week abroad.

Anything else I've tried wearing scuba gear I got overheated and kept tripping over my fins

I find it very zen, focus mostly on breath, and on the underwater world. It's a nice escape from all the sights, sounds, and aggravations of city life.
