In mid June I am giving up a Blackbeard's trip to go visit my best friend who is stationed in Seattle. I am not sure I should even consider diving there since all I have is a 3mm wet suit. To anyone who may know, just how cold would the water near Seattle be in mid June? Thanks a bunch.

Should be up to 53 - 55 degrees by then. At no time can you wear anything less than a 7 mil here.

However, it's easy to rent wet suits if you want to dive. It's also easy to find dive buddies here ... diving's real popular.

Depending on weather conditions, you may or may not have a plankton bloom to deal with. I've logged dives here in June with the vis was 3 feet. I've also logged dives here in June when it was 35 feet. It's all at the whim of Ma Nature.

Let me know if you decide to dive and want some help lining up gear or dive buddies.

Thanks Bob, I appreciate the input and the offer. I suppose renting a suit wouldn't be that much trouble. If I decide to get wet while there I will let you know. Thanks.
