The truck? Can 4 people fit in one? We don't want to pay two CDW if we do not need two. Ok....so we are cheap :) thanks bill

We're leaving for Bonaire in 19 hours, 54 minutes and 8 seconds (but who's counting?).
The truck we've booked is listed as being a 4-door, so it's certainly fit 4 people.

We dove 4 in a truck from Telerin. It was a toyota I think.

Dealing with 12 tanks was a bit of a pain...

They would not fit 4 of me. They would fit 4 of my wife. haha

On our last trip we had 4 people and enjoyed using both trucks. tanks and wet gear in the bed, towels/shirts and more careful transport of camera rig in the back seat.

Here's a newer Buddy's truck:

The 2x4's in the back are the tank racks. What we liked about having the back seat free is that we could loosely stack all our gear on it and leave any sort of bags/containers at the condo since they'll possibly get swiped also.

I've seen 4 people in a truck. They looked miserable. This isn't a crew cab american overcompsation-mobile. Trucks are mini-truck sized (like, real mini trucks, american mini-trucks are basically now almost fullsize).

With the two of us, we have room for ourselves, our gear, 5 tanks SAFELY, (4 to dive with and ALWAYS have a spare); we use the backseat for our regulators, towels, water bottles, and post dive snack.

We made it with 4 of us, but I probably wouldn't do it again. 4 sets of gear and 8 tanks fill the back of the truck up. It was a bit crowded, and we didn't have any photo gear. On the other hand, a second truck for 2 weeks is $600+.

Lots of days we'd go with 4 tanks and just run back to DFB/Port Bonaire in the south, or Oasis in the north for succeeding dives. Obviously that doesn't work on the way-north trips.

Kind of a pain, but $600+...

I've done okay with 4 in a truck on a number of Bonaire outings. It helps if the 2 in the back seat are skinny little people, of course, if you don't mind piling your gear a bit, and since you'll be stacking tanks, drive carefully.

Think like a cheap person. It's not crowded, it's, er, 'Cozy and intimate, conducive to a shared vacation experience.'

But everybody needs to rinse their dive clothes (that they'll reuse) thoroughly with fresh water at the end of the day, or around day 3 or 4 you'll be driving with the windows rolled down.

Richard.

Think like a cheap person.

I paid 650 for lodging, 159 for air service, and about 150 for my truck rental. My airfare was a reward fare (free except tax). I think ultra-cheap. I draw the line at having sit on my regulator cushion and putting more than 5 tanks on the rack.

Personal preference though.
