Do any of you use the WP-DC80 adn is it positively bouyant or neutral? I just bought the weights for it. Wasn't sure I needed them - but I thought that I should be ready for anything. I bought a set of 4 weights? ANy idea of how many I need? I don't have a strobe or anything for the camera at this time.
Thanks!

The underwater bouyancy of a small digital camera like that will be less than +/- 1 lb. Effectively minimal. Worst case you may put an extra 1 lb in your belt. The important thing is to make darn sure that camera is tethered to you in some fashion that will not release by accident. Whether a camera is either positive, neutral, or negative is really a matter of preference. There are various reasons for prefering one of the three. Some people like positive, because if they loose the camera, it won't drop into the abyss and can be recovered at the surface. On the other hand some people like it negative because if they loose it, it will be right beneath them and not floating away on the surface somewhere. My solution is just to not loose it. I use a retractable tether. Just dive it as is and see what you think. Enjoy taking pictures...

The DC80 with the SD550 is positive, but not very. I kinda like it since it keeps the camera from banging on things below me but since it is positive, I always keep it tethered at all times.

i agree. i like my camera a bit positive becuase when i am swimming i can tuck it underneath my body and i dont really need to hold tight on to it (it is tethered to my wrist). i have found that it doesnt affect my trim or weighting at all.
