Does anyone know if there is a housing for a Nikon D50. Or if it can even be used for an underwater camera? It's an awesome digital camera that takes great pictures and I would love to be able to use it underwater. Thanks in advance for any feedback!

Wrong forum. :D

http://www.ikelite.com/web_pages/2dslr_dttl70.html

Ikelite IMO is the best choice currently as it will do iTTL, and the customer service and quality is very good.

Get ready for sticker shock. Housing $1250. Ports: $150~400 each TTL cord: $80~$140 Flash & arms: $550~1000 each.

Good Luck!

Your Right, Nikon D50 - sorry....

No prob, I get all these letters and numbers mixed up all the time.
Have you decided on a housing yet?

My suggestion would be for the Ikelite, don't think you can go wrong with it :).

Hi,

I just ordered a Sea & Sea housing for my D50. We've had the discussion before about the housing choices for this camera. Here's a link to it. D50 housing discussion

Good Luck! Whatever housing you decide on should help you take great pictures underwater.

Jamie.

Hi,

I think either housing will work great right up until it floods! ;)

There is however some misinformation on the D50 housing page. If I had unlimited resources, I'd likely buy a SeaCam housing with the fancy enhanced viewfinder for an outrageous price. :D

I've done a lot of research on housing of late, and there appears to be some misinformaiton in the referenced thread. I'll respond to that thread.
