I'm using a G9( canon housing )with inon d2000 and very happy with the results. I am thinking to bring down my dslr ( 5d ) to the salt water. Any input for a good and reasonable housing for the 5d? Thank's . djoko

Define "reasonable" ;)

DSLR housings are very expensive, even the "cheaper" ones, and they require additional ports, cords, arms, trays ...

Ikelite is by far the best and least expensive of the options. Subal is an awesome product but it's quite pricey. I think Aquatica, Nexus and Sea&Sea also make housings that fit in the middle (except Nexus, which I *think* might be more than the Subal, but I haven't looked in a long time and could be wrong).

The crew at Reef Photo & Video!, The Underwater Photo Pros will be able to set you up and answer all of your questions.

If you aren't in a hurry, you might want to wait a few months until the big guys come out with housings for the new 5D Mark II ... I'm guessing that there will be a few who update to the new model, and I don't think the 5D housings will work for it.

Thanks Alcina. I was thinking about the ikelite and it is far more cheaper than others. I'm not in hurry; my G9 still work well. as u suggested I'll wait cople months until Mk2 housing is out.
