Hotels on Yap - arrival times

We are planning a trip in 6 weeks and are looking at flights...Question is on hotels...

The flights appear to get in around 4:15am...do the hotels charge you for that "night" you arrive or for the night following a full day?

Or in other words, if you get in at 4:15am on the 16th are you charged for the night of the 15th or do they just charge you for the night of 16th..

i cant remember about room charges when we arrived but when we departed at 3am we were charged a half day rate

i recommend http://www.mantaray.com/ a FANTASTIC operation and you can email them direct and get an answer back pretty quick

I have emailed with Pathways and they have told me the room is available for me when I arrive and until we depart and we have a weekly package for diving and the room. I thought it was a great deal.

All the hotels on Yap will accommodate your schedule. The flights are at strange times because Continental needs the planes in Guam at a certain time to connect with International Flights. At least that is what they told me...

Asian Spirit does fly at different times but I think you are coming from the US.

i have no problem with topless... i just think the world in general would have a problem with me being topless

RobRob...doesnt look like pathways has their own dive shop.... who will you be diving with??

We have not really decided on a shop yet...liked beyond the reef for the small boats...heard good things about them on the German diving boards...of course we hear great things about yap divers...We are looking at staying at pathways...just something about the operation appeals to us.

We are early in the planning at this point...nothing in stone.

I will email pathways and see what they say...still not quite sure of the answer to the question but will let the group know when I find out.
