My wife and I are planning a trip to Cozumel in March. Is anyone familiar with the Hotel Cozumel, specifically the Kids Club program? I spoke with them over the phone today and they confirmed that the Kids Club provides supervision for children while mom and dad go diving. Too good to be true? They say that there are 2 or 3 girls who watch over and play with the children. On a side note: Are there restaurants nearby? Grocery store? Any other experiences, thought or concerns regarding the hotel or diving operation recomendations would be appreciated!

There are several young employees around, and I'm sure they'd be available to stay with the kids. I don't recall seeing this when I was there, but there's definitely lots of employees.

There is a large grocery store/department store about two blocks away. I'm assuming it's still there post-Wilma. I like Dive With Martin for a scuba operator in Cozumel. Smaller boats. Paradise Diving has these large cattle boats.

I have no complaints about Hotel Cozumel. It was inexpensive, with good food and drinks!

ugh... I did NOT like their food at all, and neither did my friends. Other than that, it was a decent place.... great pool area. I did see an employee hanging out and playing in the pool with a couple children while I was there.

Ihave stayed at Hotel Cozumel about a dozen times over the past five years. Yes they do have a good kids program. The rooms are fine, the pool is fantastic and the food is not that bad. Breakfeast is good. Lunch is fair to middlin and supper off the new menu was good for me. In addition, Dive Paradise does have fast boat diving. You have to request that service ahead of time. I will be back there in May. Ihope it works out for you. I almost forgot, some evenings they have stage show entertainment.

Stayed at Hotel Coz last month..... watched kids program employee play with child she was watching, in the sand....seemed very into it, the child was having fun too. The hotel is fine great pool, the food is so so, but great food is a short walk or taxi into town. Grocery store, Chedraui...spell that right?....just down the street...the equivalent to our Wal mart. Any dive operator will pick you up at the hotel pier, which is accessed by the under the street walkway to the beach club.

Yup Chedraui is still there. Last week the excahnge rate was anywhere between 10.48 and 10.51 for us dollars. We went in a couple times to buy things we needed. Water, snacks etc... Payed with a 50 to get back Pesos in change.

Thanks for all of the info! I printed out our itinerary yesterday and we are planning to dive with deep blue.
I am so excited to chill for 11 days near a beach!

Minnesota is 20 degrees and there is ice everywhere. Can't wait to trade my snowman for a sand castle.
