Hi Divers

I'll be in Cancun and Cozumel end February, beginning of march for my PADI referral course.

I'll be staying in hostels do you have any good recommendation of Hostels and Scuba dive shop ? I may do the nitrox course as well.

And when i'm done with the ref course if anyone want to pair up for a dive i'll be ready.

Cheers

While in Cozumel, I would recommend Blue Magic for a dive operator. There are many great operators in Coz, including Dive With Martin, Blue XTSea, Aldora, Blue Angel, Tres Pelicanos, and many, many more. The key is to email several with your needs and pick. Some of the differences will be boat size (6 divers vs a large boat with 15 plus) surface interval location ( some on the boat, some on a beach, some at a beach club) all prices will be very close, where they leave from, level of supervision necessary, some will valet your equipment for no charge. Everyone on this thread will have their preferred dive operator and they are all correct. The question is which one is right for you and you really can't go wrong. Just make sure you are up front about your dive experience, what type of diving you like (or want to try)and any special needs you may have. (I'm a big guy, new diver, and I need a 100 cf tank to stay down with the 80cf guys) Knowing where you will be staying may help so you can walk to the departure point as opposed to a cab, bike, or walking.

If if you go to Airbnb.com there are hostels listed as well as private rooms for less than $25 a night.

Safe travels.

There are nice, clean, private hotel rooms to be had in Cozumel that are as inexpensive as staying in bunk beds in a hostel... just sayin'. Anyway, Amigos changed their little B&B over to a Hostel. They have a common area kitchen, a nice big pool in a gorgeous garden setting. And still one private kitchenette room if your inclined to spend a tad more.

Cozumel Hostel Lodging Accommodation Alternative Amigos!
