I am new to diving not really the diving described in these forums as much. I have a mask, a compressor and a hose. I have been doing well with it(in pools) for a few years but want to upgrade a few things.

First being the second stage. I have recently found that there are regulators that seem designed for hookah or snuba I think some refer to it. Is an adjustable one the way to go with this? Here is what I am looking at Sea Elite Covert Second Stage (only)

Second is because I am not using a full bcd/tank setup my buoyancy is a factor. I am only interested in very shallow dives like 10 feet or less(my local waters not too dive friendly) what is a good way to keep myself on the bottom to explore and find treasures. I tried homemade belts but hard to keep my chest down to use my hands to rummage.
