Discovered mold on hooka hoses, stored in forpeak. Cleaned exterior with houshold product.Seeking best advice for cleaning inside of hoses................

Not sure what to use beyond water, but foam earplugs make absolutely incredible pigs for hoses. We use them all the time for cleaning sampling hoses. If the ID of the hose is suitable, send them through with water pressure and they will scrub the inside. When clean send them through with air and they will essentially squeegee the hose for you.

The only thing I can think of to use on the inside would be Simple Green.

Simple green is a good detergent but I don't think it has kill against mold.

I would use bleach-I think you can dilute to around 200ppm but google and find out. You could also research using hydrogen peroxide or Odoban. I really like Odoban for disinfecting and deodorizing wetsuits and stuff, but I'm not sure what it does against mold. Research it but I think bleach is a good bet.

Rinse and rinse and rinse before you use! If you use plugs and sure the mixture got into the entire hose. Perhaps use a bucket it can soak in for an hour.

I'll throw out mouthwash as a possibility since many of us use it to disinfect the bladders of our BCDs...
