Having just read the Airspeed press Low cost boosters book I now fancy having a go at making one myself. Has anyone on the forum done this already? If so any pointers not covered in the Airspeed book? What would be good is a shopping list of parts from someone who has done this and has the booster up and running. The finished unit should be able to boost 100% O2 up to 200 Bar (small bottles for rebreather).
The cost of ready made boosters is considerable especially when you think what goes into them. I’m well aware of the dangers involved with boosting O2 but still feel this can be done reasonably safely and looking at the price of the ready made units I could probably have one machined from scratch at half the price. Any advise welcome.

One of my students made one from those very plans, and it works like a champ. We used it at the lake recently.

He is not on the Board, but PM me and I will put you in touch with him.

Cheers!
