Hey everyone,
I'm brand new to Scuba and these forums (obviously
).
I just received my OWC yesterday, running off of my temp card for the time being.
I live in Northern NJ and completed my checkout dives at Dutch Springs, for those of you that live around the area.
I was trained by The SCUBA connection in Hillsborough and after reading a post of a OW training horror story I think I got lucky.
Of course, now that I'm certified I have tons of questions of where to go next and what to do, so I will have plenty of reading to do on these forums since I am guessing this has been covered multiple times.
Unfortunately for me I don't know anyone that dives so I will prob be doing trips and what not with the Dive shop to get get to know other people and gain more experience.
I have no plans to get any of my own gear just yet but I'm thinking a Wrist dive computer (no air) wouldn't be a bad idea.
Anyway, I will be making a few posts today because I was given some advice about equipment and buoyancy control and want to see if it is just fluff or otherwise.
