Well, it would seem impossible that anyone could take an OEM design and add the touches necessary to overcome all of the faults. But Chris has clearly done this with the new HOG technical diving regulator.

The first stage with this set is a tried, true, and WELL tested swivel turret balanced diaphragm. Performance of this first stage compares to any regulator, at any price. The first stage is available in a warm-water and an environmentally sealed version. This comes to you DIN ready, with a Delrin plastic DIN cap. The second stage is really nicest part of the package. It is balanced and features both of the diver adjustments on the same axis for great one-handed and ergonomic adjustment. The rigid face cover features a center positive-action purge button. No need to worry about the purge cover cracking, tearing, or depressing in a way that pinches the inhalation diaphragm. Removal of the second stage face cover is simply, and there are no weird parts that can fall out when it is removed. This rigid cover, along with the internal diaphragm shield, helps prevent free flow when you are swimming into a current. Best of all, this combination performs GREAT! Guys, this is a nice regulator. This is an easy breather. This is a real deal regulator. It sound a little cheesy, but this is highly optimized gear from HOG.
