HOG BP - Any compatibility issues?

I'm thinking of getting a SS HOG BP, but wasn't sure if there are any compatibility issues with other equipment. This would be my first BP purchase... and you can't beat the price on the HOG BP. Just for FYI... I do mostly cold water diving dry.

I currently have a DR Transpack and wing, so I am hoping I will be able to re-purpose the wing to the HOG BP. Any one know if this will work?

Below are some other items I wanting to know:

Single Tank
1. Will a weighted STA work on the HOG (if there is one that won't... which one)
2. Any wing that won't work?
3. Would any of the bolt on weight plates from DSS work (https://www.deepseasupply.com/index.php?product=103)

Double Tanks
1. Will a v-weight fit

Does the SS and Alum have the same hole pattern and size?
Any thing to consider? (not there yet, but looking to move that way)

The wing will work but not as well as some of the newer type wings like HOG and others offer.

Yes an STA will work, but many folks do not like STA's and others swear by them. The bolt pattern is pretty well standardized. You can also put weights on the cam bands. Steel tanks are where it is at too.

Plenty, but most anything made today should work. Mixing and matching is fun.

DSS weight plates only fit DSS back plates. If you want them you will have to get a DSS plate.
