Heading up to see the Flyers get trampled, I mean take on the Bruins in the Winter Classic (unless Santa brings us a goalie, some offense/defense and scoring opportunites). Making a 5 day trip of it as neither of us has been to Boston in 30 yrs. Will be staying in Copley Plaza. Spending New Years Eve at House of Blues. What are other Boston must do's? Thanks!

What types of activities or sights are you looking see or do? There is a lot of stuff to see or do in 3-4 days. theirs Fanuiel Hall for food , shopping and pubs. the North end for Italian food the aqarium the museum of fine arts, the science museum, the constitution.night clubs near Fenway on lansdown street. All kinds of stuff just depends what your into, and alot of stuff is within walking distance or short train or cab rides.

Defiantly New England Aquarium and plan on a dinner in the North End (Little Italy walking distance down the way) Eat at any place that has a table as EVERY place had great food. Save desert for Mikes Pastry. Take the T (Boston subway) on the Red Line to Davis Square and have dinner ar Red Bones the check out some good music the The Burren for a proper pint of Guinness and some great local live music. The Museum of Fine Art, Museum of Science as well as the Children's Museum are world class and well worth a look. If you have the time you can get free passes to all from the Boston Public Library. If your with a shopper with a flair for fashion Newberry St. in Downtown Boston is your spot. You will already know Landsdown St. when you hit HOB but many other fun bars clubs there as well.

Thanks guys!
Not really a shopper - I have enough clothes, shoes and handbags to last a lifetime! Love art and history, food and adult beverages, science centers and aquariums. We are driving in, but plan to 'paaahk the caahh' and use the T, and cabs if necessary. Riley - thanks so much for the links - especially Mikes! Planning a trip just to go over and pick up some homemade Torrone to bring back for mom. Irish pub food - oh yeah! Never would have found places like that without your suggestions! Thanks!

Yeah, those are all good ways to spend a few days. If you hit the Museum of Science for a day, you can take <$10 cab ride into Davis Sq. to hit Red Bones for dinner and then walk across the street to the Burren (assuming you can still walk after RB's). The Museum of Fine Art is a must. If you hit that in the afternoon, you are only a short distance from the South End (not to be confused with South Boston) which is the epicenter of Boston's culinary scene. Gas Light and Masa are personal favorites but there are loads of other options (Aquitaine, Beehive, Hamersly's, B&G to name a few). It's going to be a busy weekend so I would recomend reservations wherever possible. opentable.com is great for that.
