Are there any shooters on this board. Looking to trade knowledge regarding stalking and killing swimming creatures.

I love it! Anyone else?

and a big welcome to the Scubaboard!!! You will find lots of "shooters" here as well as lots of GREAT info about diving to boot! Be sure to check out the Florida Conch Divers section of this great board!!!

Welcome from chilly toledo, ohio! I am also a shooter, well sometimes, when im hungry for lake erie walleye!

Dan,

Shooter Dan,

I love to shoot fish as much as misbehaving franchisees.

Jarhead,

Thanks for the welcome! I'm very familiar with Spearboard.com

I dive with most of these guys quite often. I just thought I would check out the waters on this board.

We have a great member on the FSForum who contributes some lengthy post and replies on every topic. You'd think this guy knows everything. Fact is I think he has the time to research stuff and then plagiarizes it for his own words. Do you know the type? You know he doesn’t dive or enjoy this stuff like most members.

How can anyone who has over 2300 post with a 72 post per day average really be creditable. That's on FS Forum. I see he's fairly new here with only 600+ posts.

Oh Crap, It looks like he goes by the same name here.

I think Giga Idiot knows whom I'm speaking of.

Shooter Dan,
Welcome...

As one that likes to get the input of those experienced in areas of interest, I have a question. I spend a lot of time over at the SpearBoard.com (lurking in the tall grass, trying to gleem a basic understanding of technique, etc.) and haven't seen this topic so I'll post it here. For those interested in learning how to become proficient at spearfishing, yet living in an area that frowns upon spearguns, what would you recommend as a viable course of action for practicing? Is there anything, short of travelling to the coast, that those of us in the midwest can do to become moderately skilled?

I have an interest in learning about the "art" yet have no hands-on knowledge. Everything I know about this is what I have read on the forums and a few books on the subject.

I thought about sending you a private message then I realized that others might have a similar interest.

Best Regards
Don Costanza
