I'm new to ScubaBoard and to scuba diving. In October of last year I earned my openwater certification at the young and vibrant age of 63 years old (:dork2:) and have managed to make 20 mostly successful dives living in the water world that exists in Indiana. While the midwest is not the premier location for scuba diving I have caught 'scuba fever' and now am ready to learn, explore and expand my knowledge and experience in the world of scuba diving. I look forward to learning from the topics and members of this forum. Safe diving to you all!! :snorkel:

Congratulations! And welcome to diving and the board. Settle in, put your feet on the coffee table. We all do. Be ready, this is either a house full of sibling fun and rivalry or animal house, depending on where you play. But pretty much full of really good people. You can also learn a lot here. I have had the luck to meet a bunch of SB'ers in person and they are terrific. See you around the board.

SCUBA NAN,
Welcome and Delighted!

I was born a Hoosier - only because it was necessary to be with my mother at birth....

I began my diving down river from you during WW 11 as a goggler, made my first SCUBA dive on Memorial day ( May 31) 1951...almost 60 years ago and still going strong.

Wasn't Marion the location of the James Jones book which was made into the movie "Some came running?"
