My name is Bobby and although I haven’t gone diving in a while, its a hobby I would pick up in the distant future. Back in 2005 I got certified to dive in Okinawa (PADI) and bought all my own gear (I was in the Marines and had plenty of money to throw around on things I didn’t need haha). Today, I haven’t gone diving in quite a while and don’t see myself diving for a while longer, so I want to sell my gear.

I have been trying to sell my gear through craigslist, but not too many people are interested in buying SCUBA gear that way. That left me with eBay, until I found this site (AWESOME!!!). So I plan on posting onto the classifieds and I had a couple questions...

What documents (I'm not a certified tech.) will I need to sell my gear to show it is safe for use? Just the maintnance receipts or something else? How does the buying and the seller exchange items/money? Does scubaboard make a commission off of these sales? I'm in no hurry to sell anything until I get all my i's dotted and my t's crossed.

Thanks for your suggestions, and constructive criticism.

Oh and in case it matters, I will eventually be selling an Aqualung Legend LX (with ACD 1st stage), a Legend octo (I think it may be a supreme because it has a snowflake on it, but I'm not too sure), a Seaquest Latitude BC, and a pair of Scubapro twin jet fins.
