Hey folks-
I feel blessed to be here.
My wife and I just became Open Water certified two days ago here in Cozumel.
Once finished, one of the first things I wanted to do was join scubaboard, (Suggested by a friend), and start learning more about this adventure from some professionals.
The little bit that I have read today confirms to me that I found the right place to do this.
Thanks for having me.

Congrats and welcome...keep gaining knowledge...the Rescue course should be on the horizon...

Thank you flyboy. My gosh that is EXACTLY what my instructor said to me when we certified 2 days ago.
I am going to start reading up on it soon.
I love a challenge and she said I will certainly get that with rescue diver.
Thanks again
Michael

No rush...get a few dozen dives under your weight belt and enjoy the new experience of diving...then go for your AOW..then rescue.

That sounds like a good plan .
Thank you again

Delighted to have you join us here! Welcome to our addiction. How many more dives will you get to do before heading back to Texas now that you're certified.

We were only able to do the 6 as I had some reverse pressure problems with my ears on the last couple of dives. We did reach our 60’ level so I could qualify though which I am thankful for.
A couple of days of healing and snorkeling were great, but we are leaving today to head back to Houston. I can’t wait to do our AOW, but it will probably be in a lake. I am spoiled now that we dove here and got to see so many critters

That's unfortunate about your ears though not unusual with new divers.

Clear early, clear often, clear gently :)
