hi guys new the the board and new to diving did my AOW thailand now back in vancouver bc looking for few dive buddys. planning to get my nitrox and drysuit done this month and hope to start diving in vancouver water by end of march.. anyone from the West Coast please give me a shout out maybe we can go some planned dive
 
how the diving in nova scotia!! is it worth visiting i havent been to the east coast at all maybe this would be a good excuse to go and visit there

Not bad. Water temp. right now is still 1C, but that's colder than usual. There are a number of pretty good shore sites on St. Margarets Bay (Halifax Area), which is where most dive. Though there are a few other sites up & down the Atlantic side. Water temps. in Aug./Sept. can on occasion be above 20C (68F). There are charter boats but I haven't done that in years.
 
Prepare to experience diving as an almost entirely new sport with significantly higher effort. The theory transfers but honestly not much else.
 
@grantmac look like your in BC thats great! hope i can dive with you somedays. im just starting to buying gears and suit up in BC water. still need to do my drysuit and nitrox(monday) course . but ya hope to head in the water by mid to late march. once i have the skill to survive the cold water here
 
I'm temporarily Washington state based but travel back to Vancouver Island regularly. Both for family and for the diving which is simply the best around.
Feel free to PM if you want any help finding gear. That's a whole hobby in itself.
