Hi, my name is Michael i am from London and i am 13 years old. I recently grabbed an intrest in scuba divng about a month and a half ago and i plan to go on my first scuba dive in a few weeks. If i enjoy my first dive i would like to go on and and take a padi open water. I am sooooo exicted about scuba diving that i wanted to join these forums. Thanks for reading and introducing me to ScubaBoard.

Michael

P.S Like most weird humans i am very fussy about how much mayonaise i have on food i dont like the taste of, does breathing scuba air taste any diffrent from normal air?

thanks soccer jeni, what i am doing is basically a discover scuba but they call it a free try dive, thanks for your reply

Welcome to scuba board. lots of good people and info here.

Scuba air is dry and goes through a lot of filtration to remove impurities, so it doesn;t really have a "taste". If it does, there is probably something amiss. Only had that happen once in 1200 dives.

Hey :admingreet: and welcome. You will love diving if you like water at all. :D

Cool, Michael!!! I hope you have a great time at your first dive! It's addicting. :)

Welcome to the board!

Here are some tips to make your time at Scubaboard a fantastic experience:

1. Fill out your profile. This lets us get to know you! Who knows, maybe there are others out there who share your love of underwater basket weaving!

2. Check out the forum on Scubaboard that is specific to your geographical location.

3. Don't hesitate to ask any dive-related questions you may have. There WILL be someone here who knows the answer. There also may be people who are sarcastic or attempt to make you feel silly for asking questions. Keep in mind that Scubaboard is like a salad bar. Take what you like and leave the rest!

4. When available, really get involved IN PERSON. Several of us regularly attend local functions where we dive and dine together. It really does enhance your Scubaboard experience!

Welcome!
