I just joined the forum, but have been lurking here ever since I was 1 of the unfortunate victims of the Nekton fiasco last year.......fortunately the Aggressor fleet stepped up, and a buddy and I spent a great week on the Turks and Caicos Aggressor II. I have been diving since 1983 where the rivers and quarries of western VA. were my main water source, but I now enjoy diving the Carribean, with an occasional trip to the Pacific. My wife is also a diver.

vamtnguy,
welcome to this board.
many years ago used to dive nearby.
once i found the keys, i've been a warm water wus ever since.
i like liveaboards too.

make sure you send us trip reports when you go on holiday.

smokey

Welcome to the board. I am just across the mountain from you. Where did you get certified?

I got my open water certification with Land and Sea Passages in Harrisonburg. I got my Advance Certification with Kathy and Paul a year later in 1984, and have been diving with their shop since then. Land and Sea Passages closed up shop soon after I got certified with them........they said something about not being able to handle another diver like me. :D

Congratulations. I was certified with Paul and Kathy and have been certified for four years. I wish I would have been certified years ago but I'm having a blast. If you get a chance to attend the scuba meetings we have a meeting the third Wednesday of every month. The meeting is held at Ham's in Harrisonburg.

I get the notices on the scuba meetings, but so far I haven't made any yet. Maybe sometime in the near future.

Thank you and smokey braden for the warm welcome.
