Hi everyone, Im completely new to all of this. My husband was certified years ago while in the service and has patiently kept silent until our kids were grown. So last week he said "what do you think about scuba diving?"..I really didn't have an opinion until I started paying attention to the travel channel, ect. and am actually seeing the beauty (and the adventure) of visiting a part of the planet that we, as humans, aren't designed to exist in.
We shopped around looking for a well informed instructor and finally found one at Deep Blue Divers in Fort Wayne Indiana.
(I was amazed at the others who seemed to be a bunch of fly by night adventure seeking twenty somethings looking for a quick buck no matter, what kind of folk)
Since then, Ive been scouring the internet (I know, don't believe everything the web has to say) about preparing for this kind of training, understanding the dangers, and making the most of visiting an environment without leaving any trace.
So please, if any of you experienced divers out there can remember how you felt before you took the class and have any residual 'I wish I had known this before I started' thoughts, please..share them with me.
Thanks, heidi
