Hi there!

I've got 7 logged dives but I'm not short of love for scuba diving! I got my PADI OW cert in the Florida Keys this Jan. through Dean's Dive Center in Fort Myers, then did Cancun and Cozumel dives when in Mexico last month! Cozumel was absolutely amazing. I'm a student at MIT, so I'm having trouble getting dives in during the semester:bash:

I'm going to be in Vermont this summer so I'll give Lake Champlain diving a shot and get my AOW cert. I want to teach someday, especially somewhere warm! I really want to go to Bonaire or Belize sometime late this summer, but I'm having trouble finding flights. I'd appreciate any tips!

Come on, Steph. I'm sure you could dive the Charles River. You could determine how many smoots it is to swim underwater from the boathouse to Back Bay. Just make sure you're current on your tetanus and hep A/B shots. :D

Welcome to SB. Bonaire is really fun. I haven't figured out a way to find good airfares down there. Continental used to have a direct flight from Newark. There are lots of places to stay on the island. Unlimited week-long shore diving packages are very affordable. Be sure to read some of the threads here on SB about Bonaire diving.

Welcome to Scuba board Sawhalen lots of great diving info and lots of great divers.
So since your at MIT I'm sure you have discovered United Divers in Somerville.
I did a skills update with them at the MIT pool about 4 years ago. They have a nice setup over there.
Don't forget to stop by the NELD threads you can probably get some info on Lake Champlain diving. New England Lobsta Divahs - ScubaBoard

Welcome to Scubaboard! If you're able to sneak away for some local dives, the Northshore Frogmen are a great bunch of people. I live in Manchester, MA and there's lots of good diving up in my area. PM for details.
