Hi From Maine! Any recommendations on kid's certification destinations?

Hi! I am new to Scubaboard. I love diving and want to get my 11 year old certified next year in conjunction with a dive vacation for me and my boyfriend. I hear Dominica has a resort that offers a kid's junior PADi certification. Does anyone know of another fun, family place. I want her to have a great experience so she gets hooked on diving like I am!

Check out Kids Sea Camp Family Scuba Dive Vacation Travel Packages Margo Payton runs this program and its a very nice program for the kids. I've been traveling with them for a couple of years. They have different destinations. We love it.

Hi Danigirl,

Welcome a board!
It is actualy very easy to have your 11 year old get certified.
From 10 and up childeren are allowed to participate in a Padi Junior open water diver course (ofcourse if health conditions permits them!!).
Lots of destinations can offer you this services.
Just search the web where you like to go, find a Padi divecenter what fits on your requests.
We have often the request from parents who like to join their kids during their trainings dives......why not? I hope you will find a good place and unforgettable experiences!!
