I live in Iowa and am currently a kayak fly fisher. However the sheer amount and size of carp around got me paying attention to the local bowfishers. Bowfishing from a kayak seems like an arrow through the foot or a flipped kayak.
however polespear fishing seems much better or a HS. I have an idea for a retrievable arrow.
I may even go as far as snorkeling for them. I'm building a spear now.
