I've always wanted to check out Australia for diving and more!

'Nuther new Aussie here. I found this board a few days ago, and already seemed to have racked up 20 or so posts.

I live down in Melbourne, where the diving isn't quite as spectacular as what can be found on the Great Barrier Reef (which I have not yet dived) but there is still a lot of interest, especially a number of boat and sub wrecks around the threcherous Port Phillip Bay heads.

Vis generally leaves a little to be desired, especially on the all-too-often occassion when the surface can't be spotted from a safety stop!
