Hi everyone,just discovered Scubaboard it looks awesome.I live in Perth W.A recently certified as an open water diver,only done 13 dives so far.Diving is totally adictive.Wish i had become certified years ago.Anyway hope to learn things and participate in these forums with some likeminded divers.

Hi Craig..congrats on the new cert and welcome to the diving community, you will have a blast. I always say that if you "start diving you discover yourself". If you ever do some travelling to S.A and want to dive down here, drop us an email and maybe we can get to do some good diving. By the way winter here is excellent for shark diving..cheers.

Hi Craig!
I'm also from Perth and I've just certified - literally last weekend, so I've only done 4 OW dives following the instructor around.
I'm currently trying to work out what to do next - I definitely need (and want) to get some more experience - I still need to work out buoyancy skills (weighting, etc) and also navigation. (I've been taught the theory but the application of it is a worry - I have no faith i wouldn't end up lost)
