My name is Bill Brassard and although I've been a member here for awhile, I haven't been too active,.... kinda like my offshore diving "career".

I was certified back in 1991 and dove ALOT in Hawaii and around the Pacific while in the Navy but after getting out of the service and moving back to Texas my "offshore" diving kinda got put on hold while I raised three kids.

Luckily I was able to stay "wet" as I started working at the Neutral Buoyancy Laboratory at NASA in 1996. I have been working there since. I started getting back into "real" diving a couple years ago, primarily at the Flower Gardens in the Gulf of Mexico and helping to teach classes at our local FW lakes. (I'm certified NAUI Divemaster).

Due to some of my responsibilities at work I have taken a HUGE interest in underwater photography and pursue it as much as I can afford,... which unfortunately right now with two kids in college and a third on the way, is not near as often as I would like.

My most recent trip, and admittedly the best to date, was to Roatan, where I spent two weeks "schooling myself" on real-world underwater photography. I have posted some of those images in the galleries here. I also have a website that shows those same images plus some that were taken out in the Flower Gardens. It can be seen here: William Brassard Photography

I consider myself back to diving full-force and am prepared and ready to pursue any and all avenues to keep me offshore in the deep blue with a camera in my hand.

I absolutely love it and feel it is where I belong.

Sorry for the long post but trust me,... It's been a long time coming and is WAY overdue. :D

Nice to be here again.

Bill
