Ok, I have looked at the reviews closley. I am thinking about moving to video. I have been shooting with canon powershot A570 and canon housing and think both products have done well. I live in MD, so I will be using this on vacation or specific dive trips. My questions are the following.

How well does the camera focus up close. i.e. on the reef close to a sea horse.

Are then any filters that fit the housing threading?

Which WA lens Inon or Ikelight?

Does anyone make a try or arms for this housing?

And can I attach a light to that arm/tray?

Who knows where to find the cheapest price on both the camera and housing?

I will be using Corel to edit the footage. I love the program.

Any info is greatly appreciated.

Yes, I have read the other postings.

It appears that there's a tripod mount on the bottom of the housing. I haven't seen one in person yet to confirm it. So a tray should be doable.

Depends on who makes the lights.

Everybody seems to have the camera for $549. We bought from Ultimate Electronics but Amazon, B&H etc. all seem to be at $549.

Cheeapest I've seen the housing is Abe's of Maine - $399 w/free standard shipping.

Hi MSPDiver

I am going through the same drills you are and have found that the
DBWPV1 MOUNT BASE ,LE250 5W CREE LED ,LE250 Mounts ,Grip Base D4,Shoe Base Set all work with the WP-V1 housing.
Found on seaoptic.com (as I have not posted enough posts - no URL´s - sorry:depressed:)

Anybody have any experience with this camera and green water (of which we have plenty in Denmark :) ) Does the green filter make any difference?
