Hi I'm going to GC early September and wondering if theres any decent dive site near hervey bay where I'm staying preferably wreck but anything is better than nothing, if so can you recommend operator thanks in advance

I am a little confused. You say you are going to GC, do you mean Gold Coast? The Gold Coast is some way from Hervey Bay.

The best wreck in the South East Qld area is the ex HMAS Brisbane off Mooloolaba. Dive the HMAS Brisbane

There are some wrecks on the Gold Coast but I don't think any commercial operator goes to them, and they are old and small. Scottish Prince - Gold Coast Dive Centre

In Moreton Bay there is the Curtain Artificial reef that has a number off old 'boats' and dredgers dumped. Getting a commercial operator that will go there may not be easy. http://50greatdives.com/listing/curtin-artificial-reef/

Off the top of Moreton Island is the Cementco. Dive Cement Co wreck - Moreton Bay Marine Park and St Pauls http://www.ehp.qld.gov.au/assets/documents/land/heritage/dive-qld-shipwreck-st-paul.pdf
