Good afternoon.
I'm buying my fiancee a Henderson Hyperstretch wetsuit. I have to order it online and I'm up in the air about sizing. Shes kind of in the middle of a small 6 and a medium 8. She weights 120, has 35.5 inch hips, 33.5 inch bust and 28 inch waist. On Hendersons size chart is says the small is up to 115 pounds and the medium is for up to 120 pounds. As far as the other measurments she is in the high end of the small and low end of the Medium. From what I have read with a Hyperstretch you should go down a size if in the middle. Anyone have any advice on this?
Thanks

I have very similar measurements and wear a size 8 (gold-core fullsuit and hyperstretch corewarmer) which fits nicely. Have her try on the suits if possible.

I have a hyperstretch 7/5mm in a size 8 (medium) that fits me like a champ, but I definitely needed a 10 (large) in my Tilos 3/2mm. In your situation, I'd go for the small/6. By the way, she will love the Hyperstretch - my Hyperstretch 7/5 is way more comfortable than my Tilos 3/2 or the rentals suits I've tried.

My wife wears a full size smaller than what the size chart says - she also loves her suit - never been warmer or easier to get into. This was a 3mil suit - what thickness are you considering? A thicker suit may be less stretchy.

I agree with capybara - try it on (even at a retailer you aren't using) before buying if possible (you might want to let them try and match the price). Henderson offers semi-custom which are great if your body shape is not handled by their off-the-rack sizing.

I am leaving for Kona in six days, this Monday. Last minute decision to pass on our favorite, Bonaire, and go to Hawaii where the water is colder. We needed warmer suits and decided Henderson had the best product, BUT THEIR STORES HAVE VERY LITTLE INVENTORY in the San Francisco area. We called Henderson for advice and met with great "help/friendship" and learned that an online company, scuba.com, is a Henderson distributor! [They also mentioned scubatoys.com, who are further from our location.] Scuba.com is sending us five different suits, including two different styles, and for me, two different sizes TO TRY ON. We were told we can return the products which do not fit, with leberal conditions. Our problem was solved. No guessing.

All of the stores we called were out of stock, did not allow us to order and reject if suit did not fit, without paying the full price!

Yes, our order is in the $2,000+ range via credit card, but we will be charged very little for this service!

I spoke with a seller there, which was also an active dive instructor! He knew EVERYTHING about wetsuits. I was not talking with an uninformed clerk.

Good luck.

I normally wear an XL in most wetsuits. That one I fit better in the Large. I think as mentioned you should go a little smaller than you think. Trying on is best if you can. This suit is very forgiving if you get it a little on the small side. Better to be small with this suit than to have air pockets.

Easy answer is order both and return one. Probably cost you an extra $15.00.

My wife is a bit larger than your fiancee (about 135 lb). Her Gold Core 3mm small fits great but the GC 5mm small was too tight. She is comfortable in the 5mm medium. I would think the small would be best in your case in 3 or 5 mm. The hyperstretch is a lot more forgiving than the GC.

GC and hyperstretch are 2 different things. Given the dimensions provided, I'd go for the 6. Actually, that's what I own, and they are very stretchy even in the 7 mil thickness.
