Hello All;

I just got a 3 mm insta dry from Henderson. It is so hard to get in that it is scary. I have heard that it gets easy over time but meanwhile, do you have an advise of how to done it?

Also, should I expect the suit to be more buoyant than a regular 3 mm, it looks thicker.

Quick and dirty wetsuit entry technique...plastic shopping bags (try slightly thicker bags, not the "plastic tissue paper" type grocery bags). Simply slip one over your foot prior to stepping into your suit. Your foot should slide all the way through. Once your foot is out...remove the bag and transfer to your other foot.

I've used this technique when trying on wetsuits and I can't believe how quick you can slide into them.

Also, trying thoroughly wetting it prior to getting in. I haven't used one, but my buddy Lynn had one in Cayman back in July and she always wet it prior to use, and never had a problem. Give it a go, possibly trying the plastic bag routine as well if you are still having trouble.

I have been using baby oil, but I am told that is not the best thing for the suit. Soapy water will help too, and this will not harm the suit.

Hmmm. I thought the Insta Dry was supposed to have the Gold Core lining which is super easy to get into? I have never had a problem with my Gold Core being hard to get on. Don't know what to tell you.

I ll try the platic bag. Thank you guys

My buddy has one - uses spray bottle with diluted liquid soap - works fine, smells great after the dive - well, better anyway!

This is the correct answer.

Do NOT use any oils or petroleum-based liquids as a lubricant, as it will break down the suit VERY quickly.

Note: KY Jelly other water-based lubes work well, also. Just be prepared to get some odd looks as you buy 3 tubes of the stuff. ;-)

Within 25 dives or so you shouldn't need any extras to get into your suit. At least, I didn't, with my 7mm suit, because it conforms to your body shape.

Trident sella product called suit juice , it is like watered down K-Y works really well and is water soluable and enviromentally safe. about 6 bucks

Good tips...the suit came with a caring case, does that mean that I can not carry the suit as a normal suit in a bag or is just to kind of justify the extra $$$$
