I have a Canon S90 with a Canon case. After using it for one trip I need want to add a strobe. Based upon suggestions I am looking to purchase an S2000 strobe.

As a newbie I know I need some type of mounting plate and arm. Can anyone give me some specifics of the mounting plate and arm, plus anything else I need other than the strobe, to make this work??

Thanks

If you want a decent tray n& arm setup for a reasonable price give Jack at Ocean Optical a cyber yell.

The Modular Set 1 is a real nice buy--purchased 2 of them recently. Very smooth, stable and easy on the pocketbook. Make sure you get the Inon adapter to attch your stobe to the arm set. (just tell him what you have, he'll know what to do). They also have a fiber optic connector but many folks do fine w/ Inon's built-in mirror/slave setup. And no, I am not associated w/ them, just a happy customer. // ww

If the Inon's price is a little steep (it was for me over here in the UK) you could also look at the similiarly spec'd Sea+Sea YS01. I managed to get the YS01 and Ultralight arm/tray for only slightly more than the S2000 strobe head alone. Its not quite as compact, but not exactly a monstrosity. The arm set WW mentioned is a carbon copy of the ULCS version i bought and is a good starter for a compact system
