For those of you who use this oxygen analyzer, a question.

I just built one and have the optional flow restrictor.

How does the brass flow restrictor on the end of the tubing hook up to the cylinder you are testing?

TIA

Simple: it hooks up to the LP inflator hose coming off of the regulator attached to the cylinder you want to test...

Is that a good analyzer???

Yes. The Expedition is faster and smaller, but quite a bit more expensive. We use the Cheapo II's for our mix station.

The El Cheapo is a good analyzer, cheap if you buy the kit and put it together yourself. Looks homemade. The Expedition is nice, just fancier and looks like a production unit, which it is. The sensors are different in the two as well, with the Expedition sensor being a little more expensive.

We use the el cheapos on our dive boat and at the fill station, they work very well.

What do you use for a carrying case for the El Cheapo II's?

I saw some small Pelican cases in the LeisurePro catalog that looked like they would work well.

Yep, so will a Ziploc freezer bag ;)

The less the oxygen element is exposed to air, the longer the element will last. I keep mine wrapped in a plastic bag, then stored in its case. Oxycheq also sells caps for the analyzer elements.
