OK the results from my shopping expedition to Shinjuku at the weekend (see other post on strobes for macro photography) has resulted in the purchase of a SB105 to go with my Nik V.

Only problem is all the instructions are in Japanese! Forunately most of the manual is pictorial so I can figure mist of it out but is there anything I need to take special notice of?

I'm assuming the usual stuff as for the camera with regards to care - rinsing in fresh water, drying off, O ring care etc.

This was all I managed to find in umpteen kamera-ya (camera shops) and a few dive shops - I'll have to look out for macro extension arms on my trip to Honolulu.

Thanks in advance for any assistance you guys can give me

Jonoson-san,

Well, if you lived next door, I would be happy to translate. However, that would be reinventing the wheel. Try this web site and tell them that you need an English version of the SB 105 manual. If they will not send one to Japan--and that might be the case--you can have it sent to a relative in The Kingdom by the Sea and have that person forward it.

Thank you Joewr-sama.

Seeing as the local office is just down the road I guess I should just send my Japanese manual there - might wait until next week as the mail turn around seems a bit slow here at times and I'm off this weekend with someone that can hopefully translate.

Thanks for the speedy response and useful web site.
