Hi guys, I know I am new here, and this may be an idiot question, but is it possible to run a tekna/mako scootor on lithium batteries? assuming they had the same discharge, and voltage, wouldn't they preform adequately to the task?

Thanks,
-Ex

If the batteries fit and have the same voltage and power characteristics, I do not see why they wouldn't work.

Tekna's were heavy with SLA's so they might work well with lithium packs. You'll probably need to add some weight to make it neutral.

Do you have the "deep rated" front plate, an aluminum or thicker lexan one? Is the system water tight? The lithium pack will probably cost more than the system is worth...so if you are going to put in a lithium pack you might want to put in the time to rebuilt the entire scooter. Replace brushes, bearings, shaft seal, body oring, relay, and switches.
