I'm a Fish!
So I'm combing the forums and craigslist for some decent used equipment specifically a computer. I run into this deal that is reg, octo, first stage, console with computer, spg, and compass all for a low cost. TO LOW TO PASS ON. Being the skeptic I called the guy. He is hard pressed for cash and is selling anything that has any value. On top of my perceived fortunate luck, it is all serviced and maintained at a local dive shop to me and I talked to the shop and they will gladly continue to service it for as it was originally purchased there, and assured me when i picked it up at the store that its all in working order. So with that in mind can you help me identify these two regs and perhaps find more info on them? Such as Year, model, recalls, reliability, etc. Like I said I got all of this for less than the price of one single piece. I know if it sounds to good to be true... but in this scenario ( needed to get rid of it quick and has local shop support) I couldn't pass. I tried the Sherwood Scuba site but it seems to be down.

First Stage:
Says Sherwood on it, no visible model or serial number. Has 1HP port and 5 LP ports

Regulator:
Sherwood oasis (+), No serial or any further info

Octo:
Sherwood, no model, no anything just orange.

I have one of those, I think it is a sherwood magnum old style, but I also have another sherwood that might be the magnum, either way they are perfectly usable regulators and if your shop is willing to service them then dive and be happy. I have some really old regulators that the local shop could not get parts for and so now they are just wall ornaments.

For just the regs...no guages or computer....under $100. would be an OK price.
These are older Sherwood Magnums and they're nice solid no frills performers.
I still have a first/second combo in service as backups.

I paid slightly over that for the lot which included a Oceanic Versa Pro Computer, Sherwood Compass, Sherwood SPG.

Are they both magnums is one a magnum and one an Oasis or is Oasis a type of magnum?

I think oasis is the second stage. :D

You got a bulletproof Sherwood reg there with two virtually identical second stages. If my memory serves, the only difference between the two is the exhaust tee and (maybe) two pieces of metal in the blue one which are there for moisture in your breath to condense on so it can re-eveporate when you inhale so you won't get dry mouth. I'd have to look at my book to see exactly which model it is, but it's old enough that it really doesn't matter any more.

Just make sure there's a slight air leak from the black rubber plug on the first stage--that's normal--if it's not there, the first stage needs a new piston.
