I did some research on this. This creature is native to Asian shallow waters. What's it doing in Redondo beach. Saw it again on yesterday's dive.
It's all over the west coast now. It probably came in with a ship's ballast water or even attached to its hull. The pilings in King Harbor are covered with them.
